Intec Telecom Systems adds to Asia-Pacific Centre of Excellence with new Sales Director

London/Kuala Lumpur, September 18th 2000 – Intec Telecom Systems PLC, the world leader in intercarrier billing systems, continues to expand its presence in Asia-Pacific with the appointment of Kenneth Khoo as Sales Director. Kenneth, who joins from Logica, will work closely with Intec business partners in the region, including Logica, to develop sales of the InterconnecT billing software family.

Intec’s Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia operation is now one of three ‘Centres of Excellence’ being developed by the Company to support its fast-growing sales in Europe, Asia-Pacific and Latin America. Recently awarded Multimedia Super Corridor status, Intec is investing heavily in the operation to ensure the highest levels of service and support for its Asia Pacific customers, which include Hutchison, Optus and Powertel.

Commenting on Kenneth Khoo’s appointment, Kevin Adams, Chief Executive Officer of Intec Telecom Systems said: “Adding an experienced and proven performer like Kenneth to our operation is very good news. Multimedia Super Corridor status is awarded by the Multimedia Development Corporation (MDC), a body set up by the Malaysian government. The award recognises leading-edge companies able to accelerate Malaysia’s entry into the ‘information age’. MSC status has already been awarded to Sun Microsystems, Oracle, Baan and Lucent amongst other leading technology companies with operations in Malaysia.
