Best Practice according to business needs
19/05/2000, Woking, England: Intec Telecom Systems, the world
leader by market share in interconnect billing and settlement
solutions, has announced a Best Practice framework as part of its
InterconnecT™ product. With a strong orientation towards best
practice quality, Intec Telecom Systems has now formalised a
framework based on experience gained from 60 InterconnecT
installations world-wide, ranging from small carriers to large
national PTTs. The framework offers telcos a total business
solution for their interconnect operations and helps them to
maximise the potential of the InterconnecT product. At Best
Practice workshops, Intec’s consultants work alongside
customers to address key business processes, such as least cost
routing, margin analysis, quality assurance and interconnect
partner contract agreements.
“The introduction of a Best Practice framework is a natural
development from our depth of knowledge of the interconnect
industry,” said Henry Coleman, senior business consultant at
Intec Telecom Systems. “We already have a very successful
product, but Best Practice is about giving the customer more; the
added value we can bring by sharing our experiences of working with
telcos to achieve the best possible solution according to a
company’s interconnect business needs. At Intec Telecom
Systems we feel it is no longer acceptable for software companies
to see the job as done when the product had been purchased.
Customers need expert advice as part of an end-to-end solution and
should be able to benefit from the successful implementations we
have executed,” said Coleman.
As the interconnect market place continues to grow, the ability to
run efficient, cost-effective and highly accurate interconnect
operations enables telcos to maximise billing revenue and maintain
competitive advantage. By ensuring Best Practice in all its
implementations, Intec Telecom Systems can help customers build a
competitive solution specific to defined business processes. Asked
how Intec plan to deliver its Best Practice Framework, Coleman
said: “The key to Best Practice implementation is that group
leaders are encouraged to develop their own business processes
within the Best Practice framework. Intec consultants then
facilitate the documentation and implementation on-site. Using
workshop facilities, customers can use their knowledge and
Intec’s extensive experience to develop a total solution in
the context of local business conditions.”
“The framework is not only beneficial to new customers or
start-ups; companies that are looking to re-evaluate their business
processes will find that Intec’s approach to Best Practice
enables them to take full advantage of the functionality of the
InterconnecT product,” concluded Coleman.
