Intec Telecom Systems, the worldwide market leader in interconnect settlement and billing software for telecoms companies, has opened a sales and support office in Hamburg. Supported by the London-based European HQ, the Hamburg office will bring local support to Intec’s InterconnecT customers in Germany, including COLT Telecom, MCI Worldcom and Completel. InterconnecT offers billing and settlement management for carriers interconnecting with Deutsche Telekom. InterconnecT is designed to cope with the high degree of change in the German market, in both regulations (interconnect regulations in Germany are due to change ) and in business requirements.
The latest version of InterconnecT, Version 6, features a number of enhancements that will be particularly relevant to German operators, including multiple language support, automatic reconciliation between carriers, scalability from the smallest to the largest networks, support for ITU-based settlement and multiple platforms. The flexibility of InterconnecT in handling many different types of products and interconnect agreements is also vital in a fast-developing market like Germany.
