China Mobile upgrades Intec Convergent Mediation to Manage Subscriber Growth

London/Kuala Lumpur, 28 June 2007: Intec, a leading BSS/OSS software vendor for fixed, mobile and next-generation networks, announced today that Beijing Mobile (a subsidiary of China Mobile) has contracted with Intec for a substantial upgrade to its licence for its multi-service convergent mediation solution, Intec Convergent Mediation, to support rapid subscriber growth and to launch new services. Beijing Mobile provides communications services to around 14 million subscribers.

Beijing Mobile’s parent company China Mobile Communications Group Corporation ("China Mobile Group") is the largest mobile operator in the world with over 321 million subscribers. The adoption of a robust, convergent mediation solution is to prepare for future growth and new services. It is also driven by a compelling need to reduce operating cost and complexity by managing the mediation of data from many different sources under a single convergent mediation system.
