2006 Press Releases
Atlanta/London, December 19, 2006 –
Intec, a global provider of business and operations support systems (BSS/OSS) for fixed, mobile and next-generation networks, announced today the renewal of a multi-year, multi-million dollar Carrier Access Billing (CABS) agreement with a Tier 1 US service provider. Carrier access billing allows local service providers to charge other communications companies for access to their customer facilities.
Leveraging Intec’s service bureau and outsourcing operations enables service providers to minimize operational expense while shortening the time to revenue. Intec’s CABS software solution and its breadth of reporting capabilities give service providers an unprecedented level of visibility into their data. Intec CABS also provides the tools that allow the quick resolution of any dispute by providing access to the billing detail and CDRs required to validate CABS billings. Market-leading software combined with an experienced team make for strong results. For this particular provider alone Intec is collecting 97% of an 8 figure potential in recoverable access charges.
Alan Healey, managing director of Intec Outsourcing Services, commented, “This renewed contract underscores both the importance of outsourced offerings in the telecom market and the recognition that Intec is fast becoming one of the leading players in outsourced billing and business services. Service providers of all sizes are carefully considering overhead and ROI (return on investment) when addressing business processes and operations, and as a result, many are opting to outsource those functions.”
