Sr Technical Consultant
Location: Warsaw, PolandClosing Date: October 31, 2008
Responsibilities

Prime owner of all technical aspects of the software solution for a customer

Closely cooperate with the Project Manager and share the responsibility for project success
-
Liaise closely and collaboratively with the customer. Provide technical solutions, workarounds and advice
-
Provide technical leadership to the on-site and off-site development teams during all implementation, delivery, and post-delivery stages.

Gather and share knowledge within development teams improving their skills, experience and effectiveness
-
Define and uphold standards for design and development including design document standards, design principles, and coding standards as per the Intec best Practices
-
Support Intec’s Business Analysts in identifying & documenting customer requirements
-
Write external and internal designs. Lead and supervise other Technical Consultants in writing external and internal designs
-
Provide work/effort estimates to a Project Manager for effective planning

Apply analytical skills to identify and solve problems
Requirements
-
Master in Computer Science and/or Telecommunication
-
Proven technical leadership skills
-
Proven track record of working as a technical leader in large, customer driven projects
-
Minimum 5 years experience in a Software Development and customer facing tasks
-
Minimum 5 years experience with highly available, telecom grade multi-tier systems
-
Very good technical and product knowledge of telecommunication technologies
-
Good knowledge in software development methodologies, design, and implementation

Proven experience in writing external and internal designs as well as technically leading the development work which is performed by the team

Analytical problem solving skills
-
Demonstrated ability to use initiative and a proactive approach
-
An attitude for grasping problems and solutions in a business as well as a technical sense
-
Experience with a Unix environment, SQL databases (Oracle preferable). Tuxedo experience is desirable.

Excellent communication and team work skills

Experience in working in international and multi-location teams

Very good interpersonal skills

Very good verbal and written knowledge of English

Willingness to occasionally be on-call outside of normal business hours in order to supporting customer and the development teams.

Willingness to undertake short term travel which may arise on occasion

Willingness to work at a customer site (Poland, Warsaw) for extended period of time
